December 18th seemed to be just another horrible installment in the daily struggle of Will Wight. Another sales pitch for his newest development in wireless technologies, another uninterested customer, another long trip back to Minneapolis and another fight with his wife on his cell phone about being away for so long.
While driving down a quiet county road in Anoka, Minnesota, Will's tire blows out. A strange sound whizzes by his ear as he tries to call for help. The antenna on his cell phone is missing. He looks out into the snowy fields of Anoka and realizes he's not alone.
On the morning of December 19th, Detective Samuel Koebel returns to active duty after a six-month absence. His first case back is to investigate the sudden disappearance of Minneapolis' William J. Wight. Wight's wife informs Koebel that she last spoke to him on his cell phone as he was passing through Anoka, which is where Koebel's investigation begins. Aided by Anoka's finest, Officers Glen Addley and Louis Chevalier, Koebel tries to piece together what exactly happened yesterday in the quiet town of Anoka, Minnesota. |
